As ep architects matures as a business we are aiming to have a positive presence in the field of education and are seeking projects both regenerative and new build. We are pleased to confirm the we are instructed on several education projects which we will share once these are progressed.
In the meantime, we thought it would be useful to share some of our teams experience to demonstrate our credentials individually and collectively:
Managing partner ep group
Designed and delivered a four-year energy management programme for the largest local authority in Europe, covering some 1,200 schools of all types and producing energy savings of 15% through no-cost and low-cost measures.
The programme involved implementing Monitoring and Targeting and good housekeeping programmes, as well as investing in upgrades to lighting, lighting controls, and heating systems.

My team at MITIE delivered several million £’s of work under the Building Schools for the Future programme to which we brought onsite renewable innovation to ensure that the schools were delivered to their target CO2 design criteria and the stand out was the work my team did at Kingsmead Primary – Eco.
Managing Director
Whilst a Director of a Hampshire design business, I headed up several Hampshire School refurbishment and extension projects for HCC. As a pioneering scheme, I also headed the team that designed and delivered an education centre at Avon Tyrrell in the New Forest. This groundbreaking scheme provides an off-grid energy solution to shower 10,000 visitors a year and has a wildflower roof combined with (at the time) leading PV-t and storage system.
Director of Architecture
As project Architect I have had more than 15 years’ experience designing and delivering education buildings across the country, from the Building Schools for the Future programme, through various models of public and private procurement, with a portfolio including Primary and Secondary Schools, Academies, SEND schools and Further Education Colleges. I believe student and staff experience, sustainability, style and stakeholder engagement are the key tenets of the design process and in parallel with the architectural service, I have also developed relationships with many of the schools, engaging in pupil workshops, career talks and presentations.
